Introducing Drita Labs: software and AI for complex industries

Drita Labs is a software company based in Tirana, Albania. We design, build and operate AI, web and data systems for organisations whose day-to-day work depends on software that is reliable, secure and easy to maintain.

Drita means light in Albanian. The name reflects what we aim to bring to every project: clarity about the problem, about how the system works, and about what it will take to run it for years after launch.

What we do

We work across the full life of a system, from the first conversation to long-term operation:

• AI and machine learning: document processing, search, forecasting and assistants, trained and evaluated on our clients’ own data.
• Web and mobile applications: portals, case-management tools and mobile apps, designed and built in-house.
• Data platforms: pipelines, databases and reporting that bring scattered data into one place.
• Cloud and infrastructure: secure hosting, backups and monitoring for systems that have to stay available.
• Systems integration: connecting new software to existing registers, ERPs and public systems.
• Support and operations: maintenance, updates and service levels agreed in the contract.

Where we work

We are a generalist technology partner, but some sectors are close to our experience.

Justice and e-Justice. We have worked on notary systems and understand what digital legal workflows require: verified identities, electronic signatures, connections to public registers and a complete record of every action.

Manufacturing. Production monitoring, quality control and planning tools that work with the machines and ERP systems a plant already has.

Energy. Asset monitoring, consumption analytics and reporting for producers and distributors.

The same building blocks (secure workflows, reliable data and careful integration) apply in many other sectors, and we are always interested in new ones.

How we work

Three principles shape every engagement.

One accountable team. Design, engineering and operations sit under one contract, with one point of contact. Clients do not have to coordinate several suppliers or translate between them.

Built to be maintained. We document code, test releases and prepare handover material as part of the work, not as an extra at the end. A system should be understandable by the people who will run it.

Your data stays yours. Data is hosted where the client needs it and used only for their project. This matters most in the sectors we work in, where documents and operational data are often sensitive.

Most projects start with a discovery workshop. We map the client’s processes, systems and data with their team, then propose a scope, timeline and budget. It is the quickest way to agree on what should be built, and what should not.
